Global Supply Chain / Procurement Intern Job Description This role will exist within the Global Supply Chain/Procurement Intern Program and is intended to attract top performing college students who are studying supply chain or similar disciplines and are pursuing summer or semester internships. The program will include a Supply Chain intern track and Procurement intern track. The Supply Chain track could include assignments in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Management, or Distribution Management. The program will provide meaningful work experiences for interns along with team building events and social activities. Successful candidates for these internship positions will gain valuable experience in medical device industry supply chain practices which could shape career decisions and create future employment opportunities. * The intern will be given an assignment in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Management & Analytics, Procurement, or Distribution. * Representative responsibilities include: * Support global demand reviews and interact with global and regional demand teams. * Provide analytics support to master planners. * Assist the inventory control team in process facilitation and root cause analysis. * Support contract negotiations and manage procurement activities. * Provide support for process improvement opportunities in the Global Distribution Center which could include participation on the North America Process Optimization project. * The expectation is that the intern would become a contributing member of the assigned team with documented internship objectives. * The intern will be expected to complete a post-internship feedback survey.
