We are seeking a motivated, results-oriented college student to join our team for the summer of 2022. The Carrier internship experience offers interns an environment that provides practical, challenging, and meaningful on-the-job work experience, and the opportunity to apply knowledge and demonstrate strengths in efforts to assist Carrier in achieving its business strategy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

• Take a small software project or subproject from a list, work with others to determine the needs, and follow it through to completion

• Deliver a small presentation on that project to the VP of Software

• Collaborate with others using email, chat programs, project management programs, and version control systems

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3rd or 4th-year Computer Science student or similar computer programming experience

• Has programmed in C#, Java, JavaScript, or similar language

• Have a good understanding of basic data structures

• Familiarity with web services, public cloud technologies, JavaScript web development

• Can demonstrate a small application they have written from scratch

• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Self-driven and proactive

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels

• Team player and willing to collaborate with others on projects

• US Citizen or Permanent Resident

EDUCATION

• Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study

• GPA must be greater than or equal to 3.0 GPA

• Relevant coursework or previous internships preferred
