External US Job Summary: FUJIFILM SonoSite is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Supply Chain Intern position in Global Supply Chain. We are looking for a highly driven individual that is interested in gaining exposure to the day-to-day workings of a Supply Chain Department. Additionally, you will Get exposure to the day-to-day workings of the Inventory/Production Control and Procurement departments and learn, first-hand, buying and expediting, inventory management and deployment, business technology optimization, spend analysis, sourcing and procurement as well as supply and demand planningBecome aware of the scheduling process and monitor workflow of the procurement team to meet production datesJoin an Operations team with individuals from Inventory, Production Control and PurchasingReceive in-house guidance from Procurement Specialists, Operations Managers and Production Control personnel as well as receive direction from manufacturing to help ensure a smooth, timely and accurate arrival of all needed raw materialWork on Lean methodology and efficiency from a manufacturing standpointGet exposure to different team angles including the process used for troubleshooting potential supply shortagesChoose one of the available supply chain intern projects to complete during the months of the internship and developing that projectAcquire an increased knowledge of procurement management while learning more regarding SonoSites manufacturing and strategic capabilities Essential Job Functions: Analysis and improvement of current sourcing strategies ensuring the very best quality, cost, delivery and serviceTracking and developing supplier performance KPI s using dashboards for quality, delivery, service and costMapping and analyzing current supplier portfolio and proposing consolidation strategiesCompleting the roll out of other supplier portal to suppliers who are not using it currentlyOther responsibilities include:Support logistic improvements projects ( Kan Ban, warehouse management system, supply inventory agreements) Knowledge and Experience: Enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college or university within a Supply Chain, Inventory Procurement/Acquisition degree.A minimum 3.0 GPAThe ability to dedicated 40 hours a week for on-site projects in Bothell, WACollege classwork in supply chain or Business AdministrationPossess knowledge of or interest in generally accepted purchasing practices, contract negotiation, related laws and regulations.Possess work flow and process optimization skills.Supplier scorecard techniques that drive supplier managementCreative, data driven, calculated risk takerA strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point Skills and Abilities: Business acumenInitiative The ability to work well in a team environment Passion and integrity with the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results FUJIFILM SonoSite, Inc. offers a fantastic compensation package, including benefits, and a 401k program.
