The Function:

The Sourcing & Supplier Services team is led from the UK and made up of Heads of Sourcing, Global Category Managers and Strategic Buyers. Our team partners with the stakeholders to develop and deliver the strategies required to meet the needs of R-R. The strategy that is developed will then drive the procurement direction that the Purchasing Operations buyers use to source and buy. We also manage the supplier relationships and conduct key large scope sourcing events.

Our team works in Indirect Procurement, which buys all the goods and services R-R needs to operate and deliver products. All parts and services that are directly related to our products are bought through our Direct Procurement organization.

What You’ll Do:

This role will support the deliverables of the Strategic Buyer team with key projects that align with the following role responsibilities:

• Supplier Relationships - Lead and coordinate supplier relationships and strategy(s) within the designated external buy supply chain
• Cost Management - Negotiate and drive cost savings
• Strategic Sourcing - Develop the strategy and supply chain for the assigned commodities, services, and products
• Delivery - Manage supplier delivery performance in assigned commodities, services, and products
• Quality - Monitor supplier quality performance for assigned commodities, services, and products
• Process & Procedures - Ensure adherence to the RR procurement process and procedures

During this internship, you can be expected to develop the following:

• Strategy creation and/or execution experience
• Contracts and commercial terms experience
• Supplier relationship management skills
• Project management skills
• Cost benefit and procurement data analysis skills

Relevant Majors: Business, Finance, Supply Chain

Standing/Graduation eligibility: Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited university and returning to classes after the internship.

Minimum GPA: 3.0

Work Authorization Eligibility: Must Be a U.S. Citizen. There is no sponsorship for this internship.
