ABOUT THE ROLE

Have you successfully led applications teams to peak performance levels? Do you have recent experience leading a significant ERP or financial system implementation initiative?

The VP of Enterprise Applications will be responsible for the strategic and tactical implementation, management, and optimization of the many software products utilized throughout our business.  This includes purchased applications, integration development, and custom software development.

This role will partner with the many business stakeholders to understand their needs, work with the architecture team to develop the best solutions, and engage project management to deliver results. Lead a team of technologists across various applications development and administration disciplines.  This highly visible role has responsibility for the most critical applications and development, including Spanx.com

This role is based in our Atlanta headquarters and reports to our Chief Information Officer.

• Drive the strategy, architecture, and implementation of a new ERP (or best of breed solution) to serve as the foundation for business growth
• Lead the full enterprise applications team encompassing applications administration, functional SMEs, and applications development 
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver the best process improvements, enabled by technology 
• Build and lead a high performing team made up of both Spanx team members and business partners 
• Steer and influence applications product management in partnership with business stakeholders. Drive the technical delivery of those roadmaps. 
• Partner with architecture to select and implement the best technology in a manner that will maximize capabilities, user experience, and value over the life of the investments 
• Determine the right balance of purchased products, integration between best-of-breed solutions, and custom development to maximize returns, capabilities, and experience 
• Develop effective relationships with your team, business stakeholders, and vendors 
• Foster an environment of continuous development and learning

Qualifications

WE REQUIRE…

• Direct management experience leading applications developers, functional SMEs., product managers, and systems administrators (9+ year)
• Recent experience leading a significant ERP implementation, migration, or upgrade utilizing both internal and external resources
• Deep experience developing technology roadmaps to align with stakeholder’s needs and organization strategy
• Deep understanding of core business functions and how core applications (ERP, CRM, MDM, etc.) enable them
• Solid knowledge of SDLC best practices and management
• Prior applications development experience highly preferred
• Public company experience preferred
• eCommerce experience preferred. Consumer-direct ecommerce a plus.
• Deep experience analyzing business processes and delivering the right technology to optimize the process
• Experience partnering with project managers to deliver highly complex multi-phase initiatives
• Workload management & optimization expertise
• Intellectually curious mindset with an endless desire to learn everything about a process
• Up to date on the latest software applications offerings as they relate to business
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Effective motivator and manager who actively mentors their team
