The Role Performs a variety of general personnel/clerical tasks in the area of employee records. Maintains both manual and automated personnel records, collects and compiles sensitive and confidential personnel statistics and prepares reports while understanding and managing the relationships between internal and external Human Resource Information systems. In accordance with procedures, furnishes information to authorized persons and/or agencies. Provide information to all levels of employees regarding personnel policies and procedures, especially as they relate to employee services (e.g., non monetary recognition, work-life balance initiatives, etc.) As the first point of contact, the primary duties of the HRSC are to resolve and answer customer inquiries via calls, emails, or in-person, gather and process data, research and solve problems, maintain data integrity, and provide document support and imaging. Forwards customer inquiries to Tier 2 Centers of Excellence when specific, in-depth functional knowledge is required. Is familiar with policies and procedures, employee data, laws and regulations, labor and collective bargaining agreements, business plans, labor forecasts, recruiting data, and business principles, as they relate to personnel matters. Skills & Experience Minimum Requirements: High school diploma and 1 year experience in a customer facing role, preferably in an inbound call center environment and/or administrative support. The successful applicant will have exceptionally strong customer service skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, excellent phone and communication skills (verbal and written), problem solving skills and the ability to work independently and effectively as a team player. Applicants should have the ability to use information technology tools, e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word, and be willing to learn additional information systems and other related databases or software. Sort mail, file, scan, etc. as needed within HRSC.
