Human Resource Assistant Stanley Black & Decker 985 reviews - Waltham, MA Position Summary The Human Resources Administrative Assistant is responsible for obtaining approvals to post vacancies in the appropriate platforms, initial screening and interviewing of candidates, assembling offer packages to candidates, conducting background screenings, and coordinating with the hiring manager the new hires on boarding. The HR Administrative Assistant will also be responsible for various administrative tasks such as ensuring employee files are properly stored, on boarding new hires by ensuring all appropriate forms and documents are completed, ordering office supplies as needed, scheduling guests in the facility, and assisting with a new hires orientation. Additional tasks such as coordinating Service Milestone Awards, Employee Recognition Awards, ensuring third party vendors are properly documented and documenting HR actions by completing forms, reports, logs and/or records. Essential Job Functions * Support Human Resources team with scheduling candidates for screening, interviewing, posting opportunities to internal and external job boards * Responsible for assembling job offer packages to candidates * Conducting background checks, including drug screens for candidates accepting job offers * Coordinating On Boarding activity with the hiring manager and human resources representatives * Responsible for ensuring all personnel, medical and government forms are properly stored and retained * Schedule guests that are invited to the facility and ensuring a proper welcome * Will coordinate activity around Service Milestone Awards, Employee Recognition Awards and other engagement activity * Documenting HR actions by completing forms, reports, logs and/or records * Ordering of office supplies as needed * Other duties as assigned Essential Skills & Experience * Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or equivalent * 1-3 years of experience in a professional office environment * Familiarity of HRIS systems and applications * Familiarity of Applicant Tracking Systems * Strong time management skills * Strong customer service skills
