Follow the status of your application on-line. Job Responsibilities The Department of Mental Health is a drug-free workplace. All candidates will be required to pass a mandatory pre-employment drug test. This position is located within nursing services of the Division of Inpatient Services and worked on the BPH Campus , 220 Faison Drive Provide meaningful observation and documentation of changes in behavior (mental and physical) and reports to charge nurse. Conducts daily therapeutic interaction with patients. Communicates effectively with patients and staff. Exercise judgement and discretion Salary is $11.05 per hour. Requires applicant to work 24 hours per week. Minimum and Additional Requirements State Requirement: Experience in a relevant program area. Preferred Qualifications Preferred Requirement: A high school diploma or GED. Must be currently enrolled full time in a secondary education or higher program in nursing or humanities (i.e. sociology, psychology, recreation therapy or social work). Must have completed one (1) year of secondary education with a minimum GPA of 2.50. Nursing students must have successfully completed a nursing fundamentals course.
