Follow the status of your application on-line. Job Responsibilities The Department of Mental Health is a drug-free workplace. Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, provides direct patient/ resident care and assisting in planning, coordinating, assigning and evaluating nursing care in a designated area/ lodge. This position is located and worked within the Division of Inpatient Services to include: G. Werber Bryan, W.S. Hall, C.M.Tucker Nursing Care Center, or Morris Village. Supplemental location pay applies to C.M. Tucker Jr Nursing Care Center Bryan Psychiatric Hospital facilities. Must meet direct-care qualifications. Minimum and Additional Requirements State Requirement: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Agency Requirement: A bachelor's degree in Nursing; or a diploma in Nursing; or an associate's degree in Nursing. Must be licensed by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing. Note: If any Agency Requirements are listed above, applicants must also meet those requirements to be considered for the position. Salary may vary depending on experience and qualifications. Preferred Qualifications Agency Preferred: Must have considerable working knowledge of health-care delivery, techniques and psychiatric theory. Must have the ability to work therapeutically with vulnerable adults. Physical Preferrence: Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds; ability to stand, walk, reach, pull push, stoop, bend and climb at least two or three flights of stairs. Ability to tolerate noise level and circulate in patient areas for long periods. Must be able to work with repetitive unusual patient behaviors.
