Position Details: Title: Cashier/MTR Clerk Location: South (77075) Status: Hourly; Pay is DOE Hours: Full-time; M-F; 7-4; Saturday 8am-12pm (rotation schedule) Department: Sales Reports to: VP of Sales The Cashier/MTR clerk is responsible for the receipt and control of payment in the form of cash, checks, and credit card payments; and MTRs coming in and going out of Steel Supply. This position is a very visible position which requires excellent customer service and a polished, professional demeanor. Job Duties: * Responsible for pulling, uploading, and verifying the correct MTR for each product sent to our customers. * Contract vendors on missing MTRs * Communication with customers to ensure they have received all MTRs * Greets customers in a courteous and professional manner. * Operates cash register; computes amount when due.

• Receives payment from customers and/or employees; makes change as needed; issues receipts. * Refunds cash or issues credit to customer for returned merchandise. * Reconciles cash register tap with cash and receipts on hand at the end of shift * Works with sales team and schedules hot shot deliveries when required. * Assists with receptionist duties as needed * Produces reports as necessary. * Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * HS Graduate or equivalent * 2+ years data entry experience working with MTR (Material Test Reports)/Document Control * 2+ years experience handling customer payments; register reconciliation; proficiency with figures and reports
