PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Supports the Ecommerce and Direct Store Delivery (DSD) projects as needed
Accountabilities:
- Coordinate and train drivers on Ecommerce and DSD.
- Interact with customers to facilitate a strong working relationship.
- Confirm that all counts are correct when deliveries are made, and all payments are correct if delivering to a COD account.
- Properly turn over cash collection to the designated person in the office to ensure its proper safekeeping.
- Ensure that assigned equipment is maintained properly, such as the oil level in the assigned truck, air pressure, general cleanliness of the vehicle, etc.
- Manage the required paperwork for the position including compliance to maintain proper logs at all times.
- Maintain a working relationship with the supervisor that promotes clear communication regarding customers, deliveries and any issues that may arise.
- Be flexible with start times and schedules
- Communicate with sales and Management on driver and customer feedback
- Travel to other DC's to train other Ecommerce / DSD drivers if needed
MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year minimum Ecommerce / DSD experience.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Familiarity with the delivery areas.
- 1 year of experience working within the produce arena.
- Must posses a clean driving record and the basic drivers license.
- Ability to follow instructions; read maps and directions.
- Ability to understand product codes.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
