THE CHALLENGE
When you join GE Appliances as an Supply Chain Talent Development HR Intern, you will be joining one of the best HR organizations with several decades of experience to assist you with your growth and development as an HR professional.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Manage a variety of tasks related to New Hire Orientation (NHO)
Facilitate training to approximately 40-80 new hires in a large classroom setting
Coordination of the new hire orientation schedule
Communicate with key stakeholders any schedule changes
Prepare and manage all NHO documents
Other various tasks as assigned
Create and operationalize new SCTD newsletter and viewer metrics to increase plant engagement
Partner with Senior Manufacturing Technical Trainer to update apprentice reviews and apprentice schedules
Partner with External Workforce Development Trainer to plan and execute five (5) engagement events for employees and external partners
Provide support in other HR special projects, tasks, needs, and initiatives
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Minimum Qualifications
Pursing Bachelors or better in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
Must be actively enrolled and be in good academic standing in an accredited school or university pursuing a degree in one of the above-mentioned majors
Cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0/4.0
Able to work up to 40 hrs per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Must be local to the Louisville, KY or surrounding area. This position is ineligible for housing & relocation benefits.
Reliable, daily transportation to and from work is required
Must be willing and able to lift up to 40 lbs, with or without accommodation
Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and familiarities with Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion while maintaining a high level of professionalism and strict confidentiality
Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States both now and in the future; GE Appliances will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.

Most positions are located in Louisville, KY (our Corporate HQ). Assignments are also available in Camden, SC; Decatur, AL; LaFayette, GA; Selmer, TN. Housing and relocation assistance is available for eligible students.
