    Job Description

    SUMMARY       

    Our goal is to share with you an overall operational understanding of our software business, with an emphasis on Employee Services. As a Human Resource Intern, you will assist the department and ensure the efficient administration and management of all human resource endeavors relating to hiring, recruiting, training, statutory compliance, and other customary duties necessary to ensuring consistent business development.

    Our position is a paid internship and you may utilize this internship for your school credits if that is available from your school.

    PERFORMANCE FEEDBACK:

    As a HR Intern, you can expect informal feedback and coaching to assist in your development throughout your internship.

    Essential Duties and Accountabilities

    HR interns contribute as full members of their team during their internship, with responsibilities in the areas of:

    • Understanding and assisting with the onboarding processes by shadowing the HR Specialist
    • Supporting recruitment processes, including candidate scheduling, coordinating surveys, applications, interview planning, travel arrangements, and interview packets
    • Working with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
    • Learning effective assessment strategies focused on behavioral-based interviewing
    • Understanding the HR Business Partner role by shadowing our associates and assisting with projects, as needed
    • Providing functional support as needed for benefits administration and open enrolment
    • Completing background checks, employment verifications, and I-9 tracking
    • Filing papers and documents into appropriate employee files

    PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program with an emphasis in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Psychology

    ESSENTIAL:

    • Efficient at multi-tasking and researching
    • Internet savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; must be excellent in Excel and Outlook
