System Security Engineer
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
We are looking for talented and passionate engineers who are at the beginning of their career and are interested in gaining experience in system security engineering in a progressive and developmental environment. You will join an engaged, multi-disciplinary team of engineers who can help you understand the system security landscape and gain exposure across all its many dimensions. Who we are:
In this role, you will be based in the Electrical, Electronics, Software, Control System Design, and System Security (E24S) capability group. This group is part of the Rolls-Royce Engineering, Technology and Safety, the central home for engineering skills in the Rolls-Royce group.
The E24S group is made of a diverse group of engineering areas covering Software (traditional and model-base), Systems, Electronics, Electrical Power, and System Security. We work closely together in the design, integration, testing, in-service support, and supply chain management to ensure our customer’s needs are met.
What you'll do:
System Security Engineers work on a wide range of technical problems to support Rolls-Royce’s diverse customer base.

Our engineers can be involved at any stage of a project lifecycle from concept development, design and integration, and component through to final production release. We work on a broad range of products, from aerospace engines (for military and civilian customers) to propulsion systems for trains and boats, to power infrastructure for use in a range of different environments.
As a System Security Engineer, you will work on a range of different tasks, under the direction of a senior engineer who will help you develop your skills and obtain breadth of experience in system security engineering.
What you’ll need:
Candidates will be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, curiosity, a problem-solving mindset, along with analytical and critical thinking skills.
Candidates will be able to/ have:
Bachelor’s Degree at a minimum, preferably a Master’s degree student
Relevant Majors:
Educated to degree level Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Cybersecurity
Standing/Graduation Eligibility: You will receive your degree between May 2024 and August 2025.
GPA: 3.0 minimum
Work Authorization Eligibility: U.S. Citizenship. No sponsorships are available for this role.
