  • Responsibilities

    Provide prepress subject matter expertise to high quality print projects.

    Coordinate with Prepress Manager on special projects.

    Read press sheets and plot charts to help maintain the print quality of the press and adjust tonal curves.

    Create color curves that production can apply to customer files.

    Monitor Epson proofers to make sure they are calibrated to the GRACoL 13 standard.

    Review incoming jobs and provide information and recommendations to production managers.

    Work with customers when required (Press OK’s, Phone, email, virtual meeting).

    Test new workflow’s required for new customers and creates planning notes and guidelines.

    Fill in for production positions (Mac, Prinergy and plating) when required due to vacation or other absences.

    Run production on the special barcode projects for Respironics.

    Manage incoming job files from sister companies.

    SHIFT IS 11 AM TO 7 PM, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

    Required Skills

    Knowledge of the printing process from data entry to finished product.

    Understanding of color theory in offset printing (File to Proof to Press)

    Understand offset printing and Digital dot gain.

    Knowledge of tonal plate curves to compensate for dot gain.

    Able to work with design software (InDesign, Photo Shop, Illustrator, Quark)

    Able to work with spread sheet for data feeds and Barcode creation

    Understand PDF workflow (Prinergy, Rampage).

    Have good communication skills.

    Able to think outside the box and work the idea within the guidelines of our workflow.

    Able to work overtime when required.

    Able to follow through to completion the projects assigned by Prepress Manager.
