    POSITION SUMMARY: Provide accounting and financial support to the finance team and support departments to achieve optimal levels of safety, quality, productivity and delivery to assure internal and external customer satisfaction.

    JOB TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES: The following job/task functions have been identified as the core functions of this position. However, the supervisor or manager may assign additional duties associated with this position.

    This position works under close supervision and is considered entry to intermediate level. Learns to apply knowledge to non-routine situations, seeking guidance when needed. Performs most work activities with some degree of independent judgment.

    • Support the Company’s mission, vision, values and goals in performance of daily activities. • Provide key input into the development of departmental strategic goals along with identifying key measurable to support the departmental goals.

    • Responsible for accounts receivable.

    •Responsible for the Treasury of the company.

    • Assist in providing cost and general accounting support for monthly close process, budgeting, cost analysis, maintenance of accurate bill of materials and may be responsible for balance sheet reconciliation. • Assist in the preparation of reports for financial position in areas of income, expense and other parts of the operation, and facilitation of real time reporting for the plant’s piece price, tooling, capital, timing and internal resources. • Assist with the Weekly Flash and Monthly Forecast reporting-offal forecast, P&L account forecast. • Responsible for reporting weekly variance analysis for material, labor, subcontract, burden, method and freight. Correct all issues and report summary findings to the Manager of Accounting. • Assist in the maintenance of QAD standard cost system including bill of materials (BOM) accuracy, annual standard cost changes and engineering changes. • Responsible for cost and variance analysis for production and MRO inventory. • Assist in the monthly analysis and reporting of plant spending and cost reduction projects. • Assist Operations Department with cost savings analysis for continuous improvement projects. • Assist with annual budget preparation, journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliation. • Support plant activities towards achieving customer awards and Quality registration (ex. TS 16949, ISO 14001, etc.) • Participate in root cause analysis and team problem solving activities (ex. 8D reports, department meetings, etc.). • Responsible for adhering to all internal and OSHA required safety procedures in performing daily work activities. • Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the plant. • Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization. • Assures compliance with federal, state, local and corporate policies, regulations and laws. Assists with the creation of acceptable standards in Finance. • Adherence to all company policies and procedures (ex. Quality Policy Manual, Colleague Handbook, Level II Procedures etc.)

    LEADERSHIP/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ability to identify, select, train and coach management talent. • Provides model behavior to demonstrate corporate values.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting. • Zero to three (3) years experience with financial/manufacturing systems.

    REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES • Understanding of financial systems, manufacturing systems, general ledger, standardized cost accounting, along with budgeting and forecasting is required. • Hands on experience in audit procedures and processes, financial reporting, accounting and variance analysis and continuous improvements is also critical. • Knowledge of QAD (or similar integrated manufacturing system). • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills. • Proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills • Ability to interpret financial and performance data • Proficient in Microsoft Office software • Ability to read and write in English and perform mathematical calculations.

    PREFERRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS & ABILITIES • Certified Public Account and/or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred. • Knowledge of Hyperion a plus. • Ability to work in a fast paced environment. • Effective problem solving skills • Ability to work well with others in a team environment

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORK ENVIRONMENT AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

    Duties include but are not limited to stand, walk, twist, bend, lift, see, talk and hear, with an ability to travel. When visiting plant site locations, employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration or hazardous materials.

    Skills and Knowledge:

     

    • 10+ years of consulting experience including working with functional and technical audiences
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to interact with functional audiences
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
    • Understanding of software development, architecture and customization
    • Familiarity with Enterprise Application Services such as Weblogic
    • Familiarity with Windows and Unix server environments
    • Must have Oracle based skills; in areas such as Oracle RDBMS architecture, design, and tuning
    • Experience writing scripts using SQL, PL/SQL, and JAVA programming languages
    • Ability to design algorithms and code for efficiency and reuse
    • Ability to understand the functional design and technical project requirements
    • Working knowledge of one of the following enterprise applications: Oracle E-Business Suite (AP, AR, Payroll, HR, etc.) and/or SAP
    • BS/BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field
