The focus of the internship will be centered around bioanalysis of drugs in various matrixes, operating and troubleshooting instruments, and presenting your work to a scientific group. ACCOUNTABILITIES: -Extraction of biological matrices following analytical procedures and SOPs -Determination of drug concentration levels -Watson LIMS study set up -Processing of mass spectrometric results -LC instrumentation use and trouble shooting -Mass spec tuning, method development, maintenance and trouble shooting EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: -An undergraduate student with a major in chemistry, biochemistry or chemical engineering -Must have completed general chemistry with lab and organic chemistry with lab courses -Work related mechanical experience is preferred but not required.
