    You'll need an excellent understanding of computers, both hardware, firmware & software, and a demonstrated willingness to learn and apply new technology. You should also possess superior technical capability, written and oral communications skills, and the ability to deal effectively and efficiently with people in a wide variety of situations. You will be challenged with a highly technical position as a tier-three support engineer working closely alongside a group of other highly skilled engineers. As part of this close functioning team, you will be responsible for providing online and phone-based technical support to the Automated Logic dealer network on all hardware, software, and firmware products. Additionally, you will provide feedback to the documentation and training teams, performing final checkout for any new product, and play an integral role in beta testing our program! This position also requires a highly technical understanding of complex systems. Being successful will require working and training with various groups in Automated Logic, including but not limited to Research & Development, Quality Assurance, ALC branches, dealers, and DevOps. We are looking for a curious, inquisitive, well-rounded engineer capable of learning quickly and with a passion for technology. In addition to taking Tier three support cases, additional projects will vary in technology and difficulty, so an enjoyment of learning will serve a successful applicant well.

    EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

    • US Citizen or Permanent Resident
    • COVID-19 vaccines will be required for all newly hired Carrier U.S. Salaried employees
    • Programming experience is a major plus using Java, C#, Python, SQL, or other similar programming languages
    • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills
    • Excellent troubleshooting abilities
    • Basic understanding of the fundamentals of TCP/IP
    • Understanding of computer hardware and software configuration
    • Understanding of current and previous generation Windows O/S
    • Understanding of database fundamentals
    • Ability to generate, review, and edit technical information for use with hardware and software products
    • Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision
    • Linux experience a plus
    • HVAC experience a plus

    EDUCATION

    • Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering is preferred or related field of study.
    • GPA must be greater than or equal to 3.0
    • Relevant coursework or previous internships preferred
