POSITION SUMMARY Produce a quality product per print as assigned with average supervision. Must rely on experience and judgment to accomplish goals; must work with some degree of independence and initiative to complete job requirements in a timely manner. Must have required knowledge of the companys organization and overall policies. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITES Operates assigned equipment, such as CNC mill, lathe, hydraulic press, or pull broach, to produce quality products per print. Inspects product and document data as required. Initiates machine adjustments to ensure quality product. Performs additional operations to product as time allows. Maintains accurate data for company organizational records. Organizes and keeps work area clean. May need to coin and grind as well as slot and rivet. Performs periodic operational maintenance. Completes assigned duties to maintain company records. Performs other related duties as directed or required. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Ability to do general math. Read and interpret prints. General use of inspection equipment. Basic computer skills. Must be able to complete tasks in a timely fashion and often while multi-tasking. Must be detailed oriented with large emphasis on accuracy. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent. One year CNC milling machining center experience preferred. Three years general machine shop experience preferred. TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED: Requires working knowledge and use of calipers, micrometers, indicators, wrenches and multiple other tools to perform repairs, alignments and preventative maintenance of machine shop equipment and periphery equipment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The operator is occasionally required to view items at 20 inches or less, with or without vision aides.
