    Position Summary:

    The Rolls-Royce Stennis Outdoor Test Facility is located on NASA’s John C. Stennis Space Center (Mississippi, USA) just outside the city of New Orleans, Louisiana. This facility is capable of testing Rolls-Royce jet engines: large, medium and military and is the only Rolls-Royce site capable of performing special tests such as fan flutter and noise certification.

    What you’ll be doing:

    • Support all Engineering Specialists with investigations, troubleshooting and analysis

    • Complete short-term projects that support improvements to the site

    • Research long term projects that will support the development of site technology in the future

    • Participate in global meetings to gain an understanding how an engineering company works with remote sites

    Who we’re looking for:

    • Understanding of engineering principles

    • Exposure to mechanical systems; hydraulics, compressed air, dynamics, etc

    • Exposure to electrical systems; circuits, IT networks, instrumentation, etc

    • Experience in generating electronic information; reports, data analysis, etc

    • Exposure to system design; AutoCAD/Solid Works, reading electrical and mechanical drawings, etc

    Relevant majors:

    Attending an accredited college/university and will be continuing your education after the internship. You must be working towards a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

    Minimum GPA: 3.0

    Work authorization eligibility: To be considered, you must also be a U.S. Citizen. There is no visa sponsorship for this position.
