Test Facility Engineering Intern (Stennis Facility Onsite)

THE PROGRAM:
The Rolls-Royce Stennis Outdoor Test Facility is located on NASA’s John C. Stennis Space Center (Mississippi, USA) just outside the city of New Orleans, Louisiana. R-R-Stennis is capable of testing Rolls-Royce jet engines: large, medium, and military. The R-R-Stennis is the only Rolls-Royce site capable of performing special tests such as fan flutter and noise testing.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Support all Engineering Specialists with investigations, troubleshooting, and analysis
Complete short-term projects that support improvements to the site
Research long term projects that will support the development of site technology in the future
Participate in global meetings to gain an understanding how an engineering company works with remote sites.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Understanding of engineering principles
Exposure to mechanical systems; hydraulics, compressed air, dynamics, etc.
Exposure to electrical systems; circuits, IT networks, instrumentation, etc.
Experience in generating electronic information; reports, data analysis, etc.
Exposure to system design; AutoCAD/Solid Works, reading electrical and mechanical drawings, etc.

STANDING/GRADUATION ELIGIBILITY: Candidate will be seeking a bachelor’s or master’s degree within a relevant major applicable to this role.
MINIMUM GPA: 3.0
