    About this role

    The Test and Validation Intern will support the qualification of the innovative products designed and manufactured at the Fireye Derry facility. The candidate will work with Design Engineers and Test Engineers across multiple disciplines to maintain the product quality expected by the Fireye customer base. The role will support the validation of new designs, test operations for current products on the manufacturing floor, and product testing for agency (re)certifications.

    This position reports directly to the DVT Manager.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Capability to read and comprehend schematics and design specifications to extract performance metrics
    • Familiarity with AC & DC designs
    • Experience with power supplies and transformers
    • Soldering and PCB rework
    • Ability to execute test procedures and document the outcomes
    • Ability to use standard lab tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, thermal chambers, etc.)

    Required Qualifications

    • Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Design, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related fields
    • 3.0 or higher GPA
    • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Relevant coursework or previous internships are preferred
    • Prior test and debug experience
    • Exposure to circuit design theory
    • Exposure to programming languages (C, C++, Python, etc.)
    • Exposure to Labview or other scripting/automation tools
    • Pursuing a Masters Degree in related fields
