As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience working in one of several exciting fields: - Fire Protection Engineer - The Fire Protection Engineering intern will ensure compliance with applicable fire and building codes and standards by assisting in the review of fire protection specifications and procedures. Assists in the reviewing and approving designs (e.g. construction, fire protection systems, production and manufacturing processes). Assists in the performance of general fire protection analyses (e.g. hydraulic calculations) and fire system tests/evaluations (e.g. acceptance, periodic) to minimize the impact of the potential losses, maintain compliance with requirements and protect people, property and the environment. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures by participating in design reviews and approvals (e.g. construction, fire protection systems, production and manufacturing processes), assisting in performance of general fire protection analyses and assisting in fire inspections and systems tests, to minimize the impact of potential fire losses and maintain the compliance with requirements, and protect people, property and the environment. Assists in the revision of company standards, processes and procedures by teaming with internal customers to comply with applicable codes and standards and to enhance the fire safety for the company. Oversees design, development and implementation of organization policies, programs, processes and procedures for the purpose of safeguarding people, property, information and the environment while ensuring compliance with applicable government and company security and fire regulations. Guides the development of organization policies and strategies.
