Responsibilities include the following: -Develop Computer Aided Design (CAD) models into 3-dimensional (3D) Computer Aided Measurement Systems (CAMS) measurement models that accurately define engineering intent. -Develop the 3D CAMS models for use in both measurement and the analysis of the measured data against engineering intent. -Provide measurement and analysis requirements based on tooling, production, and metrology experience. -Validate reproducibility by understanding and incorporating design and tool engineering requirements into measurement planning. -Using the technical constraints and requirements, create model-based files with measurement plans to automate both the data collection and analysis for conformity operations. -Determine as-built configuration of tools/parts and assemblies relative to nominal engineering. -Compare and analyze measured data against CAD data to generate inspection reports. -Provide training for entry-level analyst as required. This position is 1st shift, but will require periodic training or work on 2nd, 3rd shifts, as well as weekends and holidays. Qualifications The successful candidate will have the following education, experience, skills and capabilities: Required Qualifications: -3 or more years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical, or Tool Engineering. -2 years or more portable metrology/measurement experience, for example but not limited to, measurement and/or analysis. -1 year or more experience using metrology software, preferably Spatial Analyzer (SA) is desired. -Minimum of 2 years of experience using CAD software is required. -This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. -Must be willing to work variable shifts; including day, evening, night and weekends. Typical Education & Experience: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
