We are seeking an experienced Electronic & Electrical System Design & Analysis Engineer (Level 3) to lead computing solutions for multiple customers. The AvionX DMC team is a large multi-discipline team working together to design, procure, and produce the hardware for the mission computers of the future. This team also produces the software architecture, software infrastructure, and software support tools for teams around Boeing to utilize this cutting edge avionics equipment. The AvionX DMC team leverages its diverse program experiences and broad engineering expertise to develop rapid prototyping demonstrations for a wide variety of customers and potential customers. This broad set of objectives and opportunities provides the AvionX DMC engineering workforce with a wide variety of experiences and opportunities to grow their career and technical expertise in the areas of their choice. Due to many recent wins such as T-X, MQ-25, and the F/A-18 Block 3 upgrade, as well as many ongoing proprietary interactions, the Boeing DMC team is currently experiencing an exciting time of growth and expansion into new technology areas. Job Responsibilities: - Works with customers to develop and document electronic and electrical system requirements. - Analyzes and translates requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications. - Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. - Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. - Supports fielded hardware and software as required over the entire product lifecycle. - Helps investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to advance applications to meet company business needs. Qualifications Work Authorization Requirements: This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): - Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. - More than 3 years of experience with Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical (EEE) component, Circuit Card Assembly, and Printed Wiring Board specification and quality requirements - More than 1 year of experience directly interfacing with customers and senior program leadership - Experience in partnering with supplier management to develop sourcing strategies and develop statements of work - Experience with Requirements Management Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): - Experience performing Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) analysis associated with Test & Evaluation - Experience interfacing with hardware circuit boards such as 1553, Serial RS-422/485, Digital, or Analog Typical Education/Experience: Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
