The Transactional Contracts & Pricing team has an open position to support either USG or DCS programs. A USG position would support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) customer across aircraft like AH-64, CH-47, F-15, F/A-18, KC-135, B-52 and B-1 which have complex proposal and execution challenges. The DCS position would support a customer like F-15 Korea in addition to other customers. The selected individual will also utilize Contracts & Pricing experience to provide mentoring/coaching throughout a large team who support a broad portfolio of USG, international and commercial customers. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES RFP/PPOA review, proposal pricing and development, order review, and interfacing with internal/external customers to address emerging issues. As a member of the Acquire organization and Program/Business Management teams, conducts and leads proposal development and negotiation and provides contracting expertise to develop and negotiate creative business solutions for new spare business. Represents the company to diverse customers, including U.S. Government, commercial, international and public/private institutions. Authorized to exercise commitment/signature authority in accordance with formal delegation to negotiate and contract for the sale or development of high performance defense and aerospace products and services (e.g., aircraft, missiles, spacecraft and launch vehicles). Submits offers and serves as official Boeing representative to the customer. Develops and/or maintains effective working relationships with customer counterparts and the next level within the customer organization. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Interprets contract requirements, manages change and resolves conflict. This position works closely with internal/external customers, Engineering, Procurement Financial Analysis, Financial Planning, Scheduling and other internal functional partners. Qualifications This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. Basic Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum of two years Contracts or directly related work experience (developing proposals and negotiating contracts) Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge: Completely understands and applies job practices, techniques, standards, principles and concepts Problem Solving: Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems referring to established precedents and policies Communication: Ability to communicate well across functions and all levels of management Organized: Self-motivated and well organized to manage work volume, changing priorities and proactively address emerging issues Knowledgeable of the Boeing Contracts Manual (BCM) and Boeing Estimating System Manual (BESM) Fluent user of Transactional Contracts & Pricing systems to include IMIM, SPS, CCS and CAWS.
