Business Need / Purpose of Role Interns will take part in a fast-paced internship which will consist of projects, activities and hands-on training to facilitate their learning. They'll have the opportunity to engage with senior leaders and subject matter experts who will be mentoring and coaching them to success. Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities During the internship, Interns will be assigned to a specific team where their responsibilities will be aligned within their major(s) or interests. Interns will: Observe and discuss business operations, team-working environment, leadership and management styles. Shadow team members and supervisor to gain detailed insight to department operations. Formulate alternative courses of actions and solicit feedback for professional development. Collaborate with team members, management, and cross-functionally with other departments depending on the scope of the assignment(s). Interns will work up to 40-hours/week during the internship. Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications Qualifications Education Requirements: Must be a current student enrolled in a university or have graduated from a university within the last year. Degrees in Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Engineering, Industrial distribution, Data Scientists or Business strongly preferred. Seeking students who have/will be graduating in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Mathematical: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
