Business Need / Purpose of Role Responsible for phosphating activities which include coating newly machined product in the phosphate tanks, performing daily operational checks of the phosphate levels in the tank, and helping with assembly/painting roles throughout the Assembly department. Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities Including but not limited to:Responsible for phosphating processAssists in assembly and paint areas as neededConfers with supervisor and reviews phosphating schedulesInterprets procedures and work ordersReports substandard equipment performance to supervisor or maintenance personnelVerifies conformance of finished work to specificationsConfers with other departments to resolve phosphating problemsMaintains daily phosphate logNotifies supervisor when supplies are neededOperates industrial (forklift) truck (stand up and traditional) or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products to warehouse and machines Operates industrial crane as neededDevelops a culture that works to achieve and maintain an accident free workplacePerforms other duties as assigned Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
