Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant status highly desired.
• Must have previous experience as Corporate Controller of a Public-Trade Company
• Must have previous experience leading Finance Transformation or implementing Finance Shared Services at a medium-size Corporation
• Minimum ten years of experience in the financial function is required.

PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Vice President, Corporate Controller will oversee Worldwide Financial Statements ensuring full compliance with local and US regulations. As a Public-traded Company, our company requires compliance with all NYSE and SEC rules and guidelines, as well as full compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley directives.  Reporting to this role are the following teams:

• External Reporting Group, in charge of all SEC reporting as well as reviewing and implementing Corporate policies and Sarbanes-Oxley controls
• Global Business Services Organization, responsible for optimizing our cost of doing business around the World
• Corporate Accounting Team, responsible for overseeing legal entity results for several Corporate legal entities and Global results consolidation.

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

• Attract, on-board, develop and retain talent on the various Teams.
• Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
• Oversees employee training programs and identifies training needs.
• Co-lead Finance Transformation through a new Operating Model, transitioning to a Global Services Model.

Duties/Responsibilities

• In collaboration with peers and skilled and trusted departmental employees, develop, implement, operate, maintain and control the essential operating systems, information, and financial business of the company.
• Ensures that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or international financial reporting standards.
• Provides management with short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
• Advises business units on and assists with implementation of accounting policies.
• Confirms accuracy and oversees filing of quarterly and annual reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
• Collaborates with external auditors to provide information needed for the annual audit.
• Maintains knowledge of organizational procedures, federal and state regulations, and accounting standards.
• Drafts and implements policies and best practices to support achievement of objectives and required standards.
• Maintains knowledge of developments and trends in finance and administration including technological advances.
• Facilitates implementation of new systems and major modifications of existing systems to reduce downtime.
• Performs other duties as required.
