DIVISION/DEPARTMENT INFORMATION
St. John’s University’s Emergency Medical Services institute provides quality training to Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) who treat patients primarily in pre-hospital settings. Our mission is to educate Emergency Medical Professionals who are competent, compassionate and courteous. RESPONSIBILITIES
EMT/EMTP must conduct basic and advanced life support skills training in compliance with all current policies, procedures and standards as established by St. John’s University, NYS DOH Bureau of EMS, American Heart Association and NYC REMSCO. The position requires Monday through Friday days with flexibility for occasional evening hours and weekends. Demonstrate and coach BLS and ALS skills in accordance with regional, state and national standards. Provide ongoing feedback and counseling to students on their skills performance throughout the course. Coordinate and supervise psychomotor skills evaluation for NYS and National Registry Exams.

Required Skills Required Experience
Certification as an OSHA certified hoist/forklift operator preferred. On-Site Certification Available.
Two years Forklift and or Roll Truck.
Experience with shipping mail helpful.
Ability to perform duties accurately, timely and safely while working independently as well as working as part of a team.
