    OVERVIEW:

    Summer Treasury Intern needed to assist with Treasury projects ranging from the review of daily audit documentation to Letter of Credit and Intercompany Loan review and summarization. This will provide an opportunity to understand how a global Treasury department functions and to assist with improving data collection and to improve internal processes. This individual must be highly organized with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES: include but not limited to:

    • Review current letters of credit for reporting accuracy. Identify potential problems and make recommendations to fix issues.
    • Review Intercompany Loans and related documentation to update master file. Identify potential problems and make recommendations to fix issues.
    • Work with Treasury Workstation support to ensure report calculation accuracy.
    • Financial modeling (building new models/reports or updating enhancing existing models/reports) including capital structure metrics for the monthly/quarterly treasury dashboard.
    • Assist in developing presentations for senior management, the board of directors and the credit rating agencies.
    • Perform in-depth analysis to assess the cost/benefit of new treasury initiatives.
    • Document existing business processes introducing best practice methods.
    • Support special projects as needed.
    • Assist in preparing monthly/quarterly treasury dashboard the senior management and the Board of Directors.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Functions as an individual contributor with no supervisory responsibilities.
  • Qualifications
    • Must be a full-time college or graduate student working toward a Bachelor’s degree in business administration or MBA with preference for finance, accounting, economics and/or business analytics

    KEYS TO SUCCESS:

    • Must be a detail-oriented and flexible team player with the ability to interact professionally with all Gates staff members and with outside contacts.
    • Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Office applications specifically Excel-based modeling skills.
