    The Mgr., Maintenance and Power provides managerial responsibility, technical direction, administrative direction, administrative support and leadership to Maintenance and Engineering.  They ensure compliance to established safety rules / policies, customer quality and production specifications.  They actively lead and participate in the plant safety, housekeeping and continuous improvement efforts.

    Job Functions:

    • Managerial responsibility for technical direction, equipment, administrative management and leadership in the maintenance Department including predictive, preventative and corrective maintenance programs.

    • Manages maintenance and engineering programs maximizing asset reliability, up time and cost effectiveness with available resources.

    • Drives safety to Zero injuries and support mill transition to safety focused culture.

    • Develops improved methods for new capital investments, cost reductions and equipment refurbishment.

    • Administers and implements Labor Relations (CBA) through consultation with the Human Resources and Operation Manager.

    • Determines training needs and administer appropriate training programs for salaried and hourly employees within maintenance, engineering and planning to function in the most reliable manner.

    • Ensures machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate.

    • Drives mill and department goals in safety, environmental compliance, quality, cost, productivity and continuous improvement.

    Required Skills

    Background / Experience

    • Supervisory experience required - Minimum 5 years in maintenance department

    • Proven Supervisory track record managing Pipefitters and Millwrights on a day to day basis

    • Expert level of knowledge is needed

    • Ability to motivate people

    Required Experience

    Four Year BS Engineering degree preferred or 10 years minimum of equivalent demonstrated operational work experience including
