    DIRECTOR OF PRODUCT MANAGEMENT & MARKETING

     

    POSITION SUMMARY

    This position is responsible for leading, managing and directing product portfolio related activities for the growth and profitability of the Norriseal Wellmark business lines. The primary responsibility of this role is to detail the marketing and product management strategy and executing the tactical steps to deliver profitable offerings. The role will be directly responsible for the growth strategy including go to market strategies, definition of technology requirements, and M&A activities to fill gaps in the portfolio for two operating companies in the United States with total revenue of up to $100M and $20M respectively.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    Customer Management • Excellent communication skills that convey conviction and depth in our value proposition • Ability to present our portfolio to global audiences via a variety of communication channels like webinars, public speaking events, video interviews, print etc. • Ability to garner Voice of Customer (VOC) from a diverse set of customers, geographies and industries and translate the VOC into actionable strategy • Support Sales and Operations by delivering relevant collateral and actively participating in sales pursuits

    Strategy & Planning • Work closely with the organization to ensure that product strategies and performance are meeting growth and Annual Operating Plan targets • Actively seek and support M&A opportunities • Conduct and utilize Market studies for understanding demand, growth and adjacencies • Perform Market segmentation and develop plans for addressing valuable segments • Detail standard NPI/NPD deliverables like Requirements Specifications, Investment profile, revenue profile, pricing, competitive intelligence, SWOT analysis etc • Define and own the portfolio roadmap along with migration/demise pathways • Work closely with Marketing Communications to deliver on marketing launch plans • Work closely with Technology development to understand ‘under-the-hood’ pros and cons of various technical approaches • Develop an innovation funnel, seeded with next generation thought and technologies

    Partner and Channel Development • Identify and on-board valuable partners to augment our value proposition • Identify and develop go to market channels for deeper market penetration • Design and deliver effective contracts, collateral and training programs for partners and channels

    Execution • Manage day-to-day processes around product life cycle using structured program management techniques and tools • Provide program visibility within the organization to keep everyone abreast • Use a metrics based approach to report progress and highlight potential roadblocks with proposed mitigation strategies.

    Required Experience

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in engineering industrial valves and flow control • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing product marketing teams/projects • Knowledge of Automation and IIOT for the Oil and Gas industry
