    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Vallen's Sales Support Manager position supports the Region and Markets with projects that fall under the scopes of full service, consignment, logistics, VMI, and Storeroom sites.

     ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

    • Develop advanced knowledge of LEAN (Swim Lane and Value Stream Mapping, Visio, Metric gathering and understanding lean tools / applications)
    • Develop advanced knowledge of 5S and its tools / applications
    • Develop advanced knowledge of Project Management
    • Develop advanced knowledge/Skills in ControlNet – specifically within Customer Service and Inventory Sections
    • Customer Implementation support:
      • Crib Crawls
      • Advanced Excel
      • Inventory Analytics
      • Cross Reference Development / Maintenance
      • Project Planning & preparation
    • Develop advanced knowledge of SoneSource and its tools / applications
    • VMI and Vending machine setups, additions and resets
    • Help with Site openings/closings/building moves project work
    • Attend and work at customer site surveys (i.e. crib crawls, building layouts)
    • Create and deliver Power Point presentations
    • Continuous Product Training – Supplier training at Vallen sites, Product Strategy page on Intranet, EPEC, Training EDU,
    • Continuous Leadership Training
    • Advanced Excel skills (Graphs, V-Lookup and Pivot Tables)
    • Business Intelligence System:
      • P&L
      • TPS
      • Sales Reporting
      • Service Reporting
      • Other systems as required
    • Cognos
    • Price Roll assistance (utilize Price Roll Dashboard)
    • Whittle
    • Market and Region quotes
    • Ability to work flexible hours when necessary
    • Travel Required – 50% or more based on customer implementation needs

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

           EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 

    • Bachelor’s degree from a four year College:
    • 1 year Sales Management Trainee experience;
    • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and with little supervision
    • Must demonstrate good time management skills
    • Must possess strong planning, organizational and execution skills
    • Must have the ability to set goals and meet deadlines
    • Must possess excellent customer service skills
    • Must demonstrate ownership of assigned responsibilities and ability to get the job done correctly and in a timely manner
    • Must possess a proactive and positive team approach to problem resolution
    • Must have the ability to establish strong working relationships with co-workers and management
    • Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

    Education

    • Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
    • BSN preferred.
    • Two (2) years experience in surgery management that must include pre-op, intra-op, post-op care with total joint and spine experience.
    • Licenses/Certifications/ Registrations
    • Current Tennessee RN License
    • BLS & ACLS Certification required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
    • Independent decision making skills.
    • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
    • Excellent communication skills with staff and physicians. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Supervises: All staff in Pre-op, PACU, PAT Contacts/Interacts with: Physicians, all facility staff, Board of Managers, patients and families. POSITION COMPETENCIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES: Competencies and responsibilities associated with each position are a combination of hospital-wide and department-specific standards. The department specific standards include the competencies appropriate to the ages of the customer served.
