Primary Responsibilities: As an Inspector, you will provide inspection and manufacturing support tasks in accordance with defined department, company and customer specification parameters and participate in company and/or customer audits and support the necessary document instruments, equipment, facility support and tooling inspection requirements to ensure the ongoing integrity of these items. As an Inspector, you will be contributing to the final inspection of these parts for our customers, thus helping UTC Aerospace Systems to maintain its standing as one of the largest global suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products. In this role you will: - Provide inspection and manufacturing support tasks in accordance with defined department, company and customer specification parameters. - Participate in company and/or customer audits and support the necessary document instruments, equipment facility support and tooling inspection requirements to ensure the ongoing integrity of these items. - Read, interpret and apply blueprints, specifications and other customer/company documents to assembly and detail part processes. - Communicate document findings and document non-conformances. - Perform all other duties as assignedTo be successful in this role, you will be required to ... - Apply your knowledge of company and customer specifications as applied to final and in-process inspection. - Encourage and motivate others to be successful. - Be an effective team player, good coaching skills and can develop other co-workers. - Effectively train and facilitate in a classroom setting. - Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. - Apply your good analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on results (driving to root cause). - Maintain focus regarding safety, quality and productivity. - Work cooperatively with supervisors, co-workers, customers, and others in a team environment displaying mutual trust and respect. - Be regular and predictable in attendance. - Bend, stoop, stand, kneel for 8+ hours per day and life 35+ pounds repetitively with or without accommodation and meet other physical requirements based on a medical screening following post offer. - Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, and other PPE as needed for 8+ hours per day. - Read, interpret and comply with policies, applicable regulatory, safety and company rules and requirements, operating instructions, procedures and governmental regulations. - Apply your time, priority and stress management skills in a fast paced environment meeting deadlines while maintaining a customer-oriented demeanor. - Be self-directed & action oriented with the ability to work with minimal supervision and resolve most questions and problems. Qualification: Basic Qualifications: - At least 18 years of age or older. - 1 year of Aviation Assembly experience with AMQAS certification or 2 years of experience as an Inspector (in a major structural or mechanical component production environment) including the use of precision measurement tools, such as scales, micrometers, calipers, etc. - Must meet the vision requirements outlined in EEP 1009.

    • Ability to work varying shifts, including but not limited to nights, weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, and overtime as required. - Willing to relocate to Foley, Alabama: no relocation or interview travel reimbursement available. - Ability to work with chemicals.Preferred Qualifications: - QN / Tag / IPU experience - SAP / Teamcenter experience - Aerospace experience - If A & P License has been obtained, must be able to verify license is current and in good standing. - Read, write, speak and understand work instructions both verbal and written, perform basic math calculations and conduct self-inspection / audit.
