    Stamford Health is seeking an experienced individual to join the Immediate Care Center as an ICC Technician.  This is a Full Time (37.5hrs/weekly) position with shifts rotating between 7am – 8pm and 8am-9pm. Rotating weekends and holidays position.  The position floats between the main Stamford Hospital campus and Tully Health Center, both located in Stamford, CT. The ICC Tech assists in the provision of patient care in accordance with State and Federal guidelines under the director of a licensed nursing personnel, P.A. and/or physician personnel.

    Required Skills

    1. Performs EKGs
    2. Performs phlebotomy
    3. Performs vital signs and pain scale
    4. Places splints
    5. Removes and applies simple dressings
    6. Assists in applications of restraints as directed by physicians and registered nurses
    7. Transports patients
    8. Documents appropriately in electronic medical record
    9. Provides patient education as directed by RN
    10. Assists in procedures under the direction of MDs and RNs
    11. Completes temperature logs as requested
    12. Participates in education and training of new staff and students
    13. Participates in a supports performance improvement and risk management activities
    14. Assumes role of Patient Care Attendant (as necessary) and completes required PCA log
    15. Performs all duties with a focus on patient and customer satisfaction and in keeping with the Planetree philosophy
