We value a user-centric approach at all stages of our product lifecycle at Sensitech, from conception through design, development, and customer experience. Our UX Intern will be responsible for aiding and supporting our User Experience team with UX design, UI visual graphic design, wireframing, prototyping, and user research. The UX Intern will work closely with UX Designers, Researchers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to produce design assets and assist with research activities leading to engineering and delivery of enterprise applications and mobile app software.

We are seeking a motivated, results-oriented college student to join our team for the summer of 2022. The Carrier internship experience offers interns an environment that provides practical, challenging, and meaningful on-the-job work experience and the opportunity to apply knowledge and demonstrate strengths in efforts to assist Carrier in achieving its business strategy.

To be successful in this role, you must display a genuine interest in the UX discipline, designing interactions, and conducting research. You should be naturally inquisitive and comfortable working with people as part of a larger team. You must possess strong written and verbal skills to assist in delivering research findings through written, oral, and visual presentation methods.

As a User Experience (UX) Design and Research intern, you will gain experience to include, but is not limited to, activities and tasks listed below:

• Conduct user research, evaluating user feedback, and present research findings
• Gather and evaluate UI/UX/Research requirements
• Demonstrate interaction and design ideas using storyboards, user flows, and prototypes.
• Create original graphic designs (e.g., images, icons, and other graphics)
• Artistic eye for design and ability to think creatively while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Collaboration is key... Must have an inquisitive and open nature to contribute to discussions to foster a collaborative approach to research and information gathering
• A true desire to learn new things, be engaged and want to make a difference every day.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• Experience using design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Axure, Sketch, or similar tools.
• Familiar with UX research methods and tools
• Working knowledge of CSS and JavaScript is a plus
• Engaged team player; strong communication and listening skills to collaborate with various stakeholders and teams
• Strong problem-solving and innovative thinking

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• US Citizen or Permanent Resident
• COVID-19 vaccines will be required for all newly hired Carrier U.S. Salaried employees
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong organizational,analytical,andproblem-solvingskills
• Self-driven and proactive
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Team player and willing to collaborate with others on projects

EDUCATION

• Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, majoring in Human Factors (HCI), Interaction Design, or related field of study
• GPA must be greater than or equal to 3.0 GPA
• Relevant coursework or previous internships preferred
