The Rockwell Collins Interior Systems Summer Intern Program affords students the ability to: -Access and work with state-of-the-art equipment -Learn and gain practical experience in a hands-on environment -Work on projects and programs currently in progress at Rockwell Collins Interior Systems, which allows the intern to apply knowledge that contributes to the overall business -Earn a competitive salary during the program -Participate in robust leadership development opportunities -Possible future employment JOB RESPONSIBILITIES -Design and testing of electrical/electronic subsystems -Component analysis and selection -Embedded PCB design/test to DO-160, DO-178, DO-254 and other applicable standards -PCB power, EMI and functional testing -Understanding of standard communication protocol like I2C, SPI, CAN and other. -Embedded software/hardware interfaces -Qualification/Certification support -Report of project status as standard work -Support Production and Repair with electrical troubleshooting -Engineering and configuration management procedures -Hold design review of proposed electrical designs -Requirement based engineering MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS -Minimum GPA of 3.0 -Completion of sophomore year -Enrollment in a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD program for the Fall 2019 semester inElectrical Engineering The above description reflects the details considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job and should not be construed as a detailed descriptions of all the work requirements that may be performed in the job.
