Validation & Verification Engineering Intern

Role overview:

The Validation and Verification capability at Rolls-Royce is responsible for ensuring that we have sufficient oversight for our products to meet business, customer, and regulatory requirements. It covers engineers who are performing Development, Systems Engineering, and Verification style roles. This is an integration role where the individual will work with all engineering teams collaboratively to successfully develop robust, verified engineering solutions against robust validated customer requirements.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Validation & Verification intern, you will be exploring new system engineering practices within the company and working collaboratively with team members in developing and understanding new engineering products and services. You may work on a wide variety of projects to support Rolls-Royce and their customers in several areas.

Who we’re looking for:

• Working towards a bachelor’s or master’s in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and/or related degree
• Exposure to Systems Engineering principles preferred, but not required
• Experience or training in system development preferred, but not required
• Exposure to System and Sub-system testing preferred, but not required
• Experience presenting in design reviews or other gated review processes preferred, but not required
• Experience analysing test data preferred, but not required
• A strong passion for the future of technology
• A willingness to work flexibly and travel between locations: in most cases, you’ll be able to meet the requirements in the location you are recruited to, however, we may need you to be flexible and travel between sites during or for your internship
• An open-minded, curious, and agile approach to work and career development

Minimum GPA: 3.0

Work authorization eligibility: To be considered, you must also be a U.S. Citizen. There is no visa sponsorship for this position.
