    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Analyzes and proactively makes recommendations on employee compensation, applying knowledge of compensation best practices. Executes on key compensation programs and processes for the organization. Evaluates and makes recommendations on new and existing positions, promotions, and new hire offers, considering best practices as well as internal and external factors. Develops and automates reporting capabilities and compensation tools for use in analysis and decision making.

    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Successfully delivers and administers annual merit programs, compensation processes related to people planning and midyear reviews, incentive plans, and special rewards programs.
    • Evaluates new and existing positions by conducting market data analysis. Completes annual org-wide market assessments to ensure our compensation remains competitive. Proactively researches / flags trends and areas of opportunity as it relates to compensation.
    • Provides reporting and dashboard tools to enable analysis and enable strategic decision making on compensation and rewards related matters. Drives automation of tools to drive efficiencies and help elevate / reach our Center of Excellence vision.
    • Partners closely with HR partners and business leaders in union and non-union plants to ensure a strong understanding of our frontline population, and to proactively recommend solutions that support the business.
    • Stays up to date on laws / best practices related to compensation, and performs periodic audits to ensure compliance, as needed.
    • Assist in developing compensation policies and procedures.
    • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • BA/BS degree in a related field, CCP preferred.
      • 1 year comp or financial analysis or equivalent experience.
    • Plant (union / non-union) Compensation experience a plus.
    • Experience with SuccessFactors, PayScale a plus.
    • Ability to travel 5%.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

    • Proficient in Excel & Word.
    • Strong math skills required.
    • Strong analytical, communication, and detail-oriented abilities.
