Facility Construction Management Intern In cooperation with the Project Manager & Assistant Project Manager, you will help plan, deliver, and monitor construction projects that enable the production of the most advanced wind turbine components in the world. Developing systems and optimizing processes inherent to these tasks will be a key deliverable. Job Role * Assist with all phases of construction delivery including pre-design, design, bidding, construction, and commissioning. Communicate with Vestas management throughout the process. * Drive the development of internal systems to make this process more efficient. Potential areas for development: Owner specifications for standard work, bid document generation tool, as-built document storage/retrieval * Analyze existing processes to look for and implement efficiencies Experience to Walk Away With * International/cross-cultural project management * Local and international network of consultants, engineers, contractors, and manufacturing leaders * In depth understanding of the wind turbine manufacturing industry * Industry leading techniques for managing risk, uncertainty, and innovation * View of the entire capital delivery process from idea to completion * Construction management best practices and innovations Qualifications * Currently enrolled in construction management or engineering degree program * Advanced Microsoft Excel and/or VBA skills * Ability to adapt communication style to technical, social, and business environments * Experience or interest in system development and process improvement * Hands on experience in engineering and construction preferred * Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Project preferred About Vestas Vestas is the energy industrys global partner on wind power solutions.
