View is seeking a Loadmaster for its growing state of the art manufacturing facility in Olive Branch, MS. The Loadmaster will be responsible for assisting the Shipping Coordinator with identifying and facilitating daily transportation support requirements, including developing load plans, overseeing all onload operations, maintaining inventory of all shippable containers, ensuring accuracy and dissemination of shipping manifests, coordinating packaging instructions, and ensuring all operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner. This position also has a high degree of interaction with Project Managers on a daily basis. Description * Actively pursues continuous improvement in a team environment while ensuring positive contribution to providing total customer satisfaction. * Participates in Scanned Physical Inventories and coordinates/facilitates packaging requirements, ensuring all manifest documentation for shipments is in order. * Coordinates with Project Managers to ensure cargo is packaged and shipped in a timely manner and in accordance with any specialized customer requirements. * Computes weight and dimensions of all cargo, develops load plan, ensures adherence to maximum weight restrictions, and provides accurate forecast of shipping requirements to Shipping Coordinator. * Advises Shipping Coordinator of all transportation requirements, validating truck type and required pick-up/delivery dates. * Receives, validates, organizes and enters shipping requirements in software program and mainframe network. * Oversees all loading operations indoors and outdoors, ensuring safety, efficiency, and accuracy. * Inspects outgoing orders to ensure accuracy. * Maintains inventory of all required packaging materials, to include crates, and provides forecast of required supplies to Logistics Supervisor for purchase. * Maintains records and files related to own work. Organizes records and work efforts to ensure timely accomplishment of tasks. * Ensures all units are packaged, loaded, and secured in a safe manner, identifying and publishing best practices to continually improve the durability of loads. * Serves as the Logistics Section Safety Representative: overseeing all safety walkthroughs, conducting periodic safety training with the Logistics Team, and identifying to the Logistics Supervisor all recommendations for safety improvements. * Serves as Shipping Coordinator in his/her absence. * Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Loadmaster Requirements * High school graduate or equivalent. * Two years shipping experience. * Knowledge of international and domestic shipping requirements & regulations is preferred. * Must be computer literate, preferably experienced in Oracle and Microsoft Office. * Ability to organize, set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task. * Excellent professional communication and interpersonal skills. * Safety oriented.
