Experience : 0 Description : Summary The selected student candidate will be based at the LVO (Lehigh Valley Operations) truck manufacturing facility in Macungie, PA. The candidate will work as part of the LVO Product Support Team to assist with ensuring no Vehicle Engineering issues are obstacles to completing Product builds. Strong communication will be a key success factor. He or she shall assist in communicating information to the responsible Engineers and Project Managers in a timely manner to help mitigate Vehicle Engineering issues. Core Responsibilities + Investigate manufacturing and assembly issues related to GTT product design + Analyze manufacturing and assembly problem reports to determine the best course of action required to resolve problems and to implement cost effective solutions + Actively work to eliminate GTT design issues that contribute to demerits on factory product audits + work with the design groups to release clear and accurate documentation of design solutions to manufacturing + Investigate assembly and manufacturing information affecting product development as required by the GTT design groups + Support publishing of a weekly report which informs the Engineering organization of issues resolved Internship Education and Program Requirements + Applicants must be enrolled and pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering at an accredited school and have completed 30 semester hours prior to the start of the Internship + Applicants must have minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 + Interns are required to work 30 hours or less per week and be enrolled in courses during the semester (on-campus or online) + Strong communication skills + Valid US Work authorization Essential Skills & Experience + Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Access, Excel, Project) + Proficiency with the Microsoft Visual Studio integrated development environment (IDE) + Strong Proficiency with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) & VB.NET + Good understanding of the Microsoft SharePoint framework Personal Competencies + Customer Focus + Technical Skills + Peer Relationships
