Job Description Our Core Technology organization works with all our divisions to conceptualize, develop and produce fluoropolymer intermediates and composites for incorporation into Gore Products. We are looking for a R&D Scientist/Engineer focused on fluoromaterials to join our Core Technology team in Elkton, Maryland If you are searching for a company where you can make a difference, were looking for you. In this role, you will be involved in both technology development as well as participation in the early stages of the development of commercial fluoromaterials. You will bring a hands-on approach to navigating the path from the fluoropolymers we create through the processes needed to turn them into valuable intermediate forms. With your focus on understanding of polymers and their processing you will play an important role in translating divisional and core technology needs into unique fluoromaterials. You will partner within Core Technology and in our divisions to understand materials needs and collaborate with other members of the fluoromaterials R&D team and the Core Technology organization. You will effectively communicate, document and use best practices to drive progress on impactful problems. The ideal candidate will: * Be passionate about conducting and supporting fluoropolymer research to create potential for Gores growth through knowledge driven material solutions * Be energized by collaborating on cross-functional teams * Recognize the importance of building and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships Required Job Qualifications: * Degree in Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field * Experience working successfully with cross-divisional and cross-functional teams in a global and diverse environment * Proven technical depth in polymer science, material science or in polymer processing * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Skilled in experimental design and data analysis
