The ideal candidate will: * Be passionate by working for a world-class manufacturer * Be energized by collaborating on cross-functional teams * Recognize the importance of building and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships Responsibilities include: * Partnering with manufacturing, plant, and financial leadership to provide reporting, analysis, and guidance on, but not limited to, revenue, expenses, inventory, and fixed assets * Preparing and presenting of monthly plant operating metrics * Participating in month end close process with adherence to month end deadlines * Generating standard costs for new products * Participating in annual global re-roll of standard costs * Analyzing manufacturing cost variances * Participating in local plant based forecasting process * Completing various reconciliations including perpetual inventory to general ledger, fixed assets and other balance sheet accounts * Preparing and analyzing of various accounting reserves including warranty and inventory obsolescence * Preparing and maintaining various plant allocations * Participating in audit preparation * Performing other accounting functions at the plant level as needed including ad hoc reporting * Partnering with global enterprise and divisional financial teams to establish and implement guidelines and practices * Educating of non-financial associates on accounting topics in a manner they can understand Required Job Qualifications: * Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance * A minimum of 2 years experience in an Accounting or Finance role * Strong working knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) * Strong general ledger, reconciliation, and problem solving skills * Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) * Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential * Ability to work successfully in a team-oriented environment * Strong sense of urgency with the ability to be flexible around changing processes and priorities in a multi-task environment * Organizational skills and detail orientation Desired Job Qualifications: * CPA and/or CMA * Prior experience working with an ERP system * Prior work experience: * Manufacturing environment * Global supply chains * Cost accounting role * Curiosity in identifying unmet needs and proactively partnering with others to develop solutions Gore is committed to a drug-free workplace.
