  • Responsibilities

    WR Systems is in need of an Engineering Technician for LCS-Class radar systems SPS-75, SPS-77, and BME, supporting the NSWC PHD Surveillance Radar Division. 

     

    Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Performs technical work aboard ships and in a lab environment.

     

     

    Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:    

    • Completion of U.S. Navy “C” school(s) in electronic equipment or systems. 
    • Prefer NEC in SPS-75, SPS-77, SPY-1, SPS-48 or SPS-49.
    • Eight (8)+ years of experience as an electronics technician, including SPS-75, SPS-77, BME,  SPY-1, SPS-48, or SPS-49 Radar technician experience.
    • Candidate must have at least five (5)+ years of hands-on troubleshooting experience with SPS-75, SPS-77, BME, or other air search radars like SPY-1, SPS-48 or SPS-49.
    • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, employees of the organization, or shipboard personnel.  
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products required for reporting purposes.
    • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Former Navy radar technician or other experienced radar technician experience is preferred.
    • 25% to 50% travel required.

     

     

    ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED.
