    Are you an individual looking to flourish as a supply chain professional?  Would you like to be part of a company involved in the transmission of clean drinking water for more than 150 years?  Mueller Company (Mueller Co.), the nation's leading manufacturer of flow control devices for the water and gas distribution industries, has an immediate opening for a Purchased Market Supervisor in our CLEVELAND, TN facility.  Mueller Co.’s manufacturing commitment ensures one of the world’s most precious resources, clean drinking water, reaches millions of people on a daily basis.  Come be a part of something that sustains and enriches the lives of every human being.  As the Purchased Market Supervisor, you will be responsible for incoming material from supplier to delivery at the manufacturing lines.  This includes overseeing receiving, the inventory transaction and physical part move process, as well as setting appropriate stocking levels per our plan for every part (PFEP) process.  

    Responsibilities will include, but are not limited, to:

    • Supervise receiving, parts market, tugger and material handling personnel
    • Own the PFEP process to create or adjust part stocking levels in the purchased parts market
    • Work with buyer/planners to root cause issues causing stocking levels to deviate from set levels
    • Identify, track, and report out on market health metrics as well as develop improvement plans
    • Identify and implement process improvements regarding the material handling functions
    • Own the negative inventory correction process
    • Report, troubleshoot, and drive correction on issues causing negative inventory values
    • Oversee the cycle count process
    • Track supplier performance to standard pack quantity expectation and drive improvement if needed

    Required Skills

    • Problem solving skills including ability to use root cause problem solving tools

    • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft excel skills
    • Process and data driven. Able to create systems with which to collect data to drive decision-making

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related field
    • Three plus years of professional supply chain experience
    • Experience in a materials analyst role
    • Supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to lead a team towards common goals
    • Experience working in and managing LEAN material flow systems
