    Summer 2019 Internship - Equipment Engineering (Thin Film CVD) (394-879) Tracking Code 394-879 Job Description The Equipment Engineering Internship position will provide exposure to multiple engineering disciplines- electrical, mechanical and chemical and their use in industrial applications within the CVD equipment department. The selected intern will be provided a mentor to guide activities ranging from equipment maintenance, equipment upgrading, design and fabrication of custom parts. The internship will consist of four system enhancement projects relating to heat exchangers, throttle valve assemblies, gaslines and tilt detection systems. We are looking for applicant who enjoys working hands on to improve existing mechanical and electrical systems. Preference will be given to candidates with experience or interest in 3D CAD modeling. WaferTech is located on 260 acres in Camas, Washington, 30 minutes outside of Portland, Oregon, in the Pacific Northwests Silicon Forest. The companys 1-million-square-foot fabrication complex includes approximately 130,000 square feet of clean room space. WaferTech is proud to be a part of TSMCs family of fabs which comprise the worlds largest dedicated semiconductor foundry operation and provides the industrys leading process technology, library and IP options and other leading-edge foundry services, such as mask making and IC packaging and testing. Start dates can be either May 20, 2019 or June 24, 2019 and students must be able to complete 10-12 weeks. To be eligible to participate in the College Internship Program, students must meet the following requirements: Be a registered full-time student. Be pursuing a 4-year or graduate degree which would be an appropriate degree for a position within the assigned area. Have completed their sophomore year in school or have a minimum of 60 semester hour credits. Possess the equivalent of a 3.25 GPA on a 4.0 grading scale. Be legally eligible to work in the United States on a long-term basis Show leadership potential by demonstrating initiative in extra-curricular activities, school organizations, or employment.
