Production Specialist - Entry Level (354-879) Tracking Code 354-879 Job Description Do you know how to manufacture an integrated circuit? Most of our new employees don't and that's why we have developed an extensive training program to help you learn the responsibilities of manufacturing IC's in one of the four main semiconductor processes; etch, photo, diffusion, or thin films. While your steepest learning curve will occur during your initial 3 months of employment, you will be expected to continue to learn and grow professionally throughout your career with us. In addition to ongoing learning, all employees are expected to be willing share their knowledge with others through training. What is more critical than any industry knowledge you may have is your ability to demonstrate our core values, Integrity, Commitment, Innovation, and Customer Trust. What that means is that you do what you say you will, you are here when you are expected, you do your best at all times to meet company performance expectations and goals, and that you act, at all times, with the best interest of our customers in mind. The primary function of the entry-level Production Specialist is to operate production equipment, what we call "tools", in the process of manufacturing integrated circuits. The goal of our manufacturing group is to produce high quality products in accordance with production schedules and customer expectations. All positions are based on a 12-hour shift structure and you must be able to work any shift on a compressed work week. The shift structure is a 4/3/3/4 work week (4 days on/3 days off one week and 3 days on/4 days off the following week). This position works in a clean room environment wearing clean room garments and protective eye-wear. There are many protocols for working in the clean room but one of the main differences from other jobs is that cosmetics, make-up, perfume and cologne among other items are not allowed in the clean room environment. Working the 12-hour shift schedule in the clean room environment may be outside of the comfort zone of some candidates. For this reason and to allow each candidate to determine if this is the right career opportunity for them, our interview process includes a tour of the cleanroom while wearing clean room garments and following the clean room protocol. Great Pay and Benefits Average entry hourly wage is $15.16 - $17.21 depending on assigned shift. Company Profit Sharing Production Incentive Program with eligibility to earn up to $600 every 8 weeks Comprehensive Benefits Package including Medical, Dental, and Vision 401k with Employer Matching Time-Off Program/Sick Leave Company Paid Holidays On-site fitness center Life Insurance Tuition Assistance Wellness Program Subsidized Caf Employee Electronics Lounge Required Skills Must be able to work any 12 hour shift Click here to see our Shift Schedule Must be willing and able to work overtime Strong interpersonal and communication skills Highly motivated to meet personal and company goals Effective team player who can take the lead when necessary Ability to follow exacting procedures and instructions Ambitious with strong desire to meet team and department goals Flexibility to respond to changing business conditions and instructions Tenacity to get the job done right Regular attendance in this position, including on-time arrival for your shift, is critical to WaferTech's success. We are a structured manufacturing environment and your presence at work is critical so we can work together to meet our projected daily work output. If you are not here to work a scheduled shift, we could miss our production targets and other team members will have to work harder to maintain our customer delivery expectations.
