    Job Description

    Who will you be working with?

    L&M Radiator, Inc. is a global designer, manufacturer, and distributor or MESABI cooling and heat transfer solutions that are custom-made for heavy equipment in the mining, oil, gas, construction and heavy industrial industries. We are looking for a motivated individual looking to learn and expand their skills and knowledge to join our Warehouse team. This position works directly with many departments throughout the company including but not limited to Shipping and Receiving, Purchasing, Quality, Production, and Production Engineering. Outside of L&M’s team in-house, this position works directly with outside vendors and delivery personnel.

    How will you make a difference?

    As a member of the Warehouse Department, you will be responsible for expediting orders to shop and maintaining inventory control. This role supports both office personnel as well as the production floor by receiving, inspecting, and directing materials as they come in while communicating with the necessary parties. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor.

    This shift is Sunday - Thursday 10:00pm to 6:00am. OT is possible depending on production needs. This position offers $1/hr. shift differential pay when clocked into midnight hours.

    What do we want to know about you?

    • High School Diploma or GED with 1-year experience in a related field.
    • Current Driver’s License.
    • Proficient with MS Excel and Word applications.
    • Shipping & Receiving experience.

    What will your typical day look like?

    • Put up orders for shop.
    • Keep inventory control and documentation.
    • Unload vendor supplies and materials and put items in proper storage areas, record receivables and documents.
    • Keep warehouse and parts cage clean and orderly.
    • Notify Quality personnel of receivables.
    • Order day-to-day items from purchasing and make purchase requisitions.
    • Manually ensure accurate counts of shipments.
    • Coordinate with shipping clerk to expedite shipments.
    • Assist in other areas of production as needed, if qualified.
    • Perform work in a safe manner and follows all safety guidelines and procedure.
    • Domestic and international travel possible depending on the project.
    • Perform related work and other duties as required by supervisor.

    What about the physical demands of the job?

    • Wear correct PPE – earplugs, protective eye wear, steel-toed boots, and work provided uniform (gloves when necessary).
    • Lift a minimum of 50lbs.
    • Stand on concrete for 8-10 hours.
    • Work in high heat conditions.
    • Practice and maintain safe work conditions.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required for Entry Level:

    • Regular and reliable attendance.
    • Basic knowledge of steel materials and bolts.
    • Material handling and packaging.
    • Organizational skills.
    • Use of hand tools.
    • Exposure to blueprint reading.
    • Operate forklifts to load and unload trucks and semi loads.
    • Use various measuring devices.
    • Work and communicate effectively with others.
    • Understand and carry out simple oral and written instructions.
    • Self-motivated, work with little supervision.
    • Knowledge and proficiency of math skills.
    • Must have good computer skills and be knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel.
    • Ability to communicate, in English, effectively and clearly by both written and verbal means.
    • Ability to pass a pre-employment written math test, physical, drug and background test.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of Epicor or similar ERP system.
    • Experience in Lean Manufacturing.

    You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

    This role is also eligible for a production bonus.

    The hourly range for this role is between $21.00 - $28.50. The actual hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands, and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

The salary rate for this role is currently $21.00 - $28.50 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. Other benefit offerings for this role may include annual bonus, if eligible.
